Location: Zurich, Switzerland
Department: Business Ownership / Commercial Leadership
Employment Type: Full-time (80-100%)
Who you are:
We are seeking a Senior Business Owner to lead and expand one of GenTwo's core business lines. In this pivotal role, you will own the full P&L, drive commercial success, and shape the strategic roadmap of your business line. Whether your background is in structured products and investment solutions or in strategic client relationships and business development, you will bring deep industry expertise paired with the leadership and entrepreneurial mindset required to grow a high-impact business.
You will act as the face of your business line (engaging with key clients, partners, and strategic accounts) while also driving product innovation, go-to-market strategies, and operational excellence. Reporting into GenTwo's leadership, you will collaborate closely with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Business Development to deliver on ambitious growth targets.
Your tasks & responsibilities:
Key ResponsibilitiesCommercial Growth & Client Leadership (50-60% of time)
- Own the full P&L of your business line, including revenue, growth, and profitability targets
- Act as the face of the business line, engaging with key clients, partners, and strategic accounts to drive revenue and expand market presence
- Build and maintain C-level relationships with major institutional clients; act as a trusted advisor on how GenTwo's capabilities can grow their business
- Drive go-to-market strategies, pricing, and commercial models to accelerate customer acquisition and deepen existing relationships
- Monitor revenue performance, unit economics, and key client metrics to optimize business outcomes
Strategic Direction & Product Innovation (25-35% of time)
- Define and refine the strategic vision for your business line, ensuring alignment with GenTwo's overall platform and market strategy
- Identify new product opportunities, market segments, and structural innovations that expand the addressable market
- Develop and expand curated solutions for asset managers, banks, and professional investors, translating client needs into actionable product and service offerings
- Identify strategic opportunities where GenTwo's infrastructure can create multiplier effects within client ecosystems
- Lead strategic discussions with executive stakeholders, aligning GenTwo's offering with client priorities, constraints, and long-term plans
Cross-functional Leadership & Team Building (15-20% of time)
- Lead cross-functional initiatives with Product, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Business Development to deliver new capabilities and client-specific roadmaps
- Build and mentor a high-performing team as the business scales
- Establish operating rhythms, performance metrics, and accountability systems for the business line
- Represent your business unit at internal leadership forums and support overall strategic planning
What you bring:
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in structured products, financial engineering, securitization, investment product development, enterprise client management, strategic partnerships, corporate development, or related capital markets roles
- Proven track record of P&L responsibility, business ownership, or revenue accountability
- Deep technical and commercial understanding of investment products, issuance processes, investor needs, or financial services business models
- Demonstrated experience in senior-level (C-suite) relationship management and strategic negotiation
- Strong leadership ability with experience managing multi-disciplinary initiatives and building teams
- Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial approach to building and scaling businesses
- Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills with credibility at the executive level
- Fluent in English; German is a strong plus
You'll Thrive in This Role If You
- Have P&L experience but want to build and scale; you want to grow a business, not just optimize an established one
- Can engage and negotiate at C-suite level while personally translating strategic needs into concrete business opportunities
- Combine structured products expertise or strategic partnership experience with commercial drive and credibility on technical details
- Have an entrepreneurial mindset; building tailored solutions and driving execution, not managing established playbooks
- Are a builder comfortable with ambiguity while defining processes and executing with limited direction
- Balance strategic vision with hands-on execution and bias toward action
- Are energized by client engagement, being the external face of the business, and closing deals
- Seek P&L ownership through your own relationship-building and commercial execution, not team leverage
- Please note that Swiss work permit or EU/EFTA citizenship is required.
